This week saw the GreenTech fair in Amsterdam, showcasing the latest technology and innovations in horticulture. Efficiency and sustainability are the key drivers: from LED lighting and recyclable paper pots and trays, to automatic guidance systems for moving trolleys and pallets.
At the same time in Holland, the Flower Trials allowed the annual opportunity to see all that's current and new from the big plant breeders and suppliers. I have returned with a long list of ideas for patio and bedding for 2019 as well as some gems for the indoor plant market.
Floreus can offer the service of reporting back on these trade events- either a general overview, or specific searches- or, if you haven't been before and find the prospect daunting, accompanied visits.
The week is ending off with 2 days at BBC Gardeners' World Live at the NEC in Birmingham, supporting the M&S team on their stand (new for this year) and allowing the opportunity to wander the gardens, pavilion and other stands at the show. This has been another great opportunity to see what's popular and new and to talk directly to consumers.
